All Observers are RoSPA Gold Standard Riders. In addition to the obligatory test with RoSPA, the Observers undergo close scrutiny and training to develop the communication and riding skills required to be a good observer.

Observers should be considered to be mentors and are approachable at any time to give help and advice on techniques of advanced riding.
